Holostik India, a security label manufacturer, has installed a 12-color Weigang ZJR-350G flexographic press. The project highlights Weigang’s focus on protecting customer equipment investment and providing engineered solutions for high-end label production.

A key design feature of this ZJR-350G flexo press is its backward compatibility. Weigang’s R&D team engineered the press to be fully compatible with magnetic rollers and tooling from Holostik’s existing 2018 ZJR-330 equipment. This compatibility protects the customer’s previous capital investment while enabling a smooth upgrade to a wider web format and more advanced automation.

Equipped with a full Siemens servo control system and an intuitive 15-inch HMI, the ZJR-350G supports high-speed precision operation at 180 m/min. Technical highlights include a dedicated peeling and composite device designed for security labels with aggressive adhesives. This device streamlines waste stripping, reduces material loss, and improves material utilization.

The press is fitted with dual cold-foil units with Italian RE tension control, plus a 12-color station with a specialized leveling system for premium varnishing and security coatings. A 32-inch BST stroboscope enables real-time, high-definition inspection of micro-text and intricate security features across the full 350 mm web width. Integrated dual-sided corona treatment and advanced web cleaning ensure optimal substrate preparation while helping reduce chemical consumption and energy use during production.
