Spanish label converter Etiduero has expanded its production fleet to 16 Weigang flexographic presses, extending a partnership that began in 2007 when the company purchased its first Weigang machine during its early entry into the label sector.
This long-term fleet expansion reflects a broader industry trend in which converters prioritize equipment reliability, accessible technical support, and long-term operational value when selecting suppliers, rather than evaluating purchases as one-off transactions.
“We started with one machine when we were still new to the label industry,” said Jose Luis Ortiz Gordo, CEO of Etiduero. “Step by step, Weigang has helped us improve our quality and become more competitive in the market.”
Standardization across the Weigang press fleet has simplified internal production workflows and enabled consistent quality output across a growing range of label applications. Ortiz Gordo noted that Weigang has made significant technical progress in recent years and now performs comparably to leading European press manufacturers.
Responsive after-sales support has been a core driver of the continued cooperation. “They have never left any of our issues unresolved,” added Ortiz Gordo.
